How to Replace Canon Cartridges

Printers are just as integral to the office environment as computers.Printers are more compact, more efficient and easier to care for thanever, and Canon printers have always been in the forefront of printinginnovations. Thanks to the diagnostic utilities built in to today'sprinters, we need never be surprised by an empty ink cartridge. When a"Toner Low" or "Replace Cartridge" warning appears, we no longer haveto call the IT department for assistance. Changing your own Canonprinter cartridge is easy and will keep your printer running assmoothly as when it was new.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Easy Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • New cartridge
  1. Remove the paper in the feeder and put it off to the side while you change the cartridge.
  2. Openthe door concealing the ink cartridge. On most Canon printers, this isfound on the top of the printer and should just lift up and remain openas you change out the cartridge.
  3. Manuallymove the bar covering the cartridge and remove the old cartridge bypulling it back a little and then straight up and out of the printer.It should lift out without any difficulty.
  4. Comparethe new cartridge to the old one and make sure it is the same beforeattempting to install the new cartridge in the printer.
  5. Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot and push it forward. You should feel it click into place.
  6. Closethe top of the printer and put the paper back into the feeder. Print atest page to ensure that the cartridge is installed correctly and thatthe toner is evenly distributed on the page.

Fain printing

I'm using remanufactured toner provided with my ML-2010 by Discount City when I purchased the printer and I'm having the same problem.

I have used non OEM toner in other laser printers also with disasterous consequnces so I think you'll have to 'bite the bullet' and purchase a new Samsung toner cartridge unless you can find out who manufactures the cartridge in which case you might be able to souece one directly avoiding the extorionate mark up.

If the new toner is original, your unit just burned the fuser. If it is under warranty, any Samsung Authorized Service Center will gladly replace it for free.

Samsung 2010

Hi, I have one of these and can be a little complicated if you haven't had it from new. First, looking at the printer face on place a hand on each side of the printer as marked 'A' in the picture. Grip, pull and the front of the printer will hinge down towards you. Now you will see a black tongue-like plastic handle as marked by 'B' on the picture. Grip with one hand and pull towards you and the whole cartridge will come out ready to be replaced. Hope this helps. Si :)
