It is in SAFE mode because wrong codes have been entered.

To reset , LEAVE SWITCHED ON....UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself (It could take several hours)

Make sure you have the correct code

If you require a code , then read below
===================================================
First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST A BRAND  NEW  QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Also quote the MAKE of CAR

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Vauxhall radio cdr 2005 displays panel ?

Long time since the question was asked, but if someone googles it.
I have a Vauxhall Vectra -04 with a cdr 2005 radio/cd player.
Suddenly when I started the engine the radio showed ”panel” I turned radio of and then pressed AS and turned radio on while pressing AS, now it said ”10 safe” but I couldn’t enter the code. So I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it again, then turned ignition on, the radio said ”10 safe - - - -” and I was able to enter my code, then pressed AS and heard a beep, now it’s working just fine again

I have a vauxhall astra with a cdr 500 cd player in it but it will not play any cds or radio and keeps sayin error TR_ _ _ CD

From what I have been told, you would need to reset the unit. With a reset, basically disconnecting the battery cable you would need a four digit code. It was one that came with the car or the radio. It will put it into safe mode as if the radio was stolen. Once it is in safe mode you would then need to punch in the 4 digit code. That will reset the unit and allow the radio to begin working. If you do not have the 4 digit code you would then need to take it to a dealer and have them reset the code. I was told it would only be about $25 at almost any dealer.

Radio code for vauxhall corsa

The units anti-theft program was activated when the battery was disconnected. If you don't know the 4 digit code, try to contact the previous owner or most higher end car audio dealer/installers will offer a service to reset the anti-theft code program, for a fee.
