I am trying to connect a car stereo head unit to a CD changer. Both support the Sanyo protocol and have the Sanyo style 8 pin din connector at the rear. Can you tell me where I may be able to purchase this cable from?

I have a kenwood head unit with 12 pin for a cd changer, I have connected a kenwood cd changer when I press the cd changer source on my head unit it's coming up aux ext but no changer options

It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your Kenwood CD changer to your head unit. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the connections: Ensure that all the wiring connections are secure and properly connected to the head unit and CD changer.
  2. Reset the head unit: Disconnect the power to the head unit, wait a few minutes, and then reconnect it to see if the issue is resolved.
  3. Check the compatibility: Make sure that the CD changer you have connected is compatible with your head unit and the 12 pin interface.
  4. Update software: If your head unit has firmware or software updates available, it may be worth updating to see if the issue is resolved.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it may be best to contact Kenwood's technical support for further assistance.
It's important to handle the head unit and CD changer carefully to avoid causing further damage or issues. If you are not familiar with the installation and connectivity of a CD changer, it may be best to seek help from a professional for a repair.

Is there a way to link a JVC Kameleon head unit with my stock CD changer? I have a mercedes slk350, just replaced the audio 20 head unit with the JVC Kameleon. Everything works and looks good, but I want...

The only thing i can suggest is to go to your audio shop and ask the same question to them, as they normally carry many different styles of leads and may have one there that will help you to connect your cd player, Is there a din output on the back of this unit? if so they should be able to help.

Want MP3 capability or connectivity without changing head unit !

If you look on e-bay, you will find many double din stereos for sale. (double din being the larger sereo, as in double the size of the single din that we consider standard size)

Want to know if I can use the line-level inputs from the CD Chgr

Your alpine unit is the old "M-BUS" the other adapter you are talking about is an "AI-BUS" adapter. (Hence the model numbers beginning with CD"M" or CD"A" ...)

Look for an Alpine M-Bus to RCA Input adapter.

heres one on eay for less than 10.00 including shipping.

Connecting remote cable to other port from the car stereo

You can tap the amplifier's remote wire into the accessory power lead at the back of the head unit. On most head units this is a red wire. Doing this will make your amplifier turn on and off with the key switch, rather than the deck power.

SEEKING DATA CABLE FOR JENSEN RF10DC

Go to this link and click "find a manual"; http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=13670&langId=-1 It is not for your model exactly, is for a rf10ch, but look on page 12 it shows the standard cable for this sort of unit - it looks like a 15 ft standard din 8-pin (7/1/315) connector. The cable should be well shielded. With this information any electrical shop should be able to make one up. or contact these guys - they have taken over customer service from jensen, but i am unsure how good they are - please post back if you have any feedback on this. Hope this helps :)
