Question about Grundig YB 300PE AM/FM/SW Radio

1 Answer

Cuts off I was able to correct this prob. a few wks ago, but forgot what I did. Someone already suggested that I operate it on AC to make sure it isn't a battery connection, but I couldn't find the cord so I kept pushing buttons and reset button until it functioned normally. However, now again it is as though a timer is set and it shuts off after about 5 min. How do I reset so it doesn't shut off. Thanks, DP

I have the same problem.....the radio cuts off after 5 minutes or less. I also have difficulty getting it to turn back on. Just before the radio cuts itself off, there is a short period of static as if the station's signal is fading out. I have changed the batteries and pressed the reset button. Nothing helps.

This is simply a low battery issue. If you replace the batteries it should work. Apparently, the unit has a voltage sensor that cuts off the radio when the voltage drops too low. However, eventhough the radio will not run, there is still sufficient voltage left in the batteries to run the light.

This is why the radio will run when plugged into AC.

Hope this works for you !!!!

Ac compressor making loud noises and my instrument cluster all of a sudden quit working

Get out your owners manual and locate the power relay for the AC and remove it, this will stop the AC clutch from engaging the compressor, note, AC is used in winter to help remove moisture when defrost is on you may have to roll window down to prevent fogging, also check for blown fuse in manual bet you find one for instrument cluster, good luck,Bret

Might help, disconnect negative terminal from battery for 10 minutes, if the compute is getting weird readings this will reset it and maybe help.

Car Makes Screeching Noise When Turned On With Ac On

This is very typical of a slipping A/C compressor drive belt. Inspect the belt for fraying and cracking and renew it if needed. Check the tension and make sure it is correct, and in a new one recheck after about 4 wks. It should deflect about 1 cm in the middle of the longest span with a firm push.

You can put some soap or drylube wax on the contact surfaces of the belt but that is temporary. Do not use petroleum products like WD40.

Fuel gauge, temperature gauge, 4wd and ac/heat went out

Maybe a loose wire or possibly a rodent chewed through one of the wires. Check to make certain all leads are free of debris and connected and no bare wires are rubbing against each other.

I own an Acer Aspire 8930G, and as of a few weeks ago, it will not power on. At first I thought it was the AC adapter at fault, as the wire on the side that is inserted into the laptop had a small cut in...

This is a long shot but take out the battery and leave it a couple of hours then replace and place it on charge overnight then retry next day, you have maybe already tried that, the only other thing I can think of is get a multimeter or someone who knows how to use one and check that the voltage is kicking out 19v DC from the charger

AC dead? Acting strange like a Stephen King novel

do not interfere with this AC system ,you may be able to change the fan motor but be careful with the AC pipes ,if the pipe cracks and gas escapes it can cause frostbite in about 1 sec flat .Now the most likely cause of the air flow in the front not working correctly is because either its got a split rubber pipe that connects to the operating valves or the diaphram in one of the valves has split which means a replacement operating valve ,if you listen carefully you mey be lucky and hear a hiss somewhere

A/c blows hot even after i have put in freon.

Most likely the additional charge you added leaked out overnight, these systems are very prone to leaks in 2 area's, the AC condensor core and the line O ring seals.
