My Samsung HCL4715W Rear Projection Television has a solid red light on the front panel, but the TV does not show a picture or provide sound. The TV seems to be getting power and I can hear a clicking sound when I unplug and replug the power cord. Can anyone please provide some insight as to what's going on with this TV?
Ur backlight video board is dead,must replaced.
Same problum but i dont think its the back light video baord. i think itz a broken cap
I have a similar issue...if I unplug tv and DVR for awhile (30 minutes or so), and then plug back in...the DVR reboots and the TV seems fine. But once the TV is turned off and then back on...same problem in that the tv seems to have power, sometimes has a picture, sometimes has sound, so I have to unplug and wait all over again. Would this also be the backlight video board? Thanks!

Disconnect the convergence board and see if the set comes on. If it does, and it probably will, replace the convergence board or the convergence amp IC's. Good Luck

1)Check PC boards for CRT coolant leak.Look closely at the
signal board and the main/power PCB.
2)Check any/all fuse devices in power supply
