Pioneer VSX-72TXV used to work but trying HDMI just broke it...

Everything has been working fine with my Pioneer Elite VSX-72TXV receiver for 3 years, but I recently tried hooking up my DVR audio signal to the receiver and video signal THROUGH the receiver with an HDMI connection, rather than running the HDMI directly to the TV and sound directly to the receiver with an optical cable. After a few seconds, the receiver turns off and the "phase control" light blinks.

I put everything back the way it was, but now if the volume is turned up or I'm using the receiver for more than a few minutes, the power on the receiver goes out again and the "phase control" light blinks... Did I break something? I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Of course the extended warranty just ran out!

No sound out of the pioneer vsx-1121-k

Hello,
Try removing all the speaker and the HDMI connections; then use a headphone to listen to music from the tuner or a CD in stereo mode. Better in direct mode. If you hear your music correctly the receiver could be working correctly. If no music is heard, you may need to have it repaired professionally.
If you can hear music, connect the main FL & FR speakers and verify you can hear music that way, without the headphone connected.
If you can hear music that way, connect the center and rears. Try a mode that uses all channels to verify all sound channels are working.
Then, and only then start adding your HDMI connections.
Good luck

I'm having problem with sound when I use my Pioneer Elite VSX-32 receiver. Everything is fine if I directly connect to my TV with HDMI cables from my cable box or my roku box. However, if I use the same...

check the audio output settings of your components. THey may be set for dolby digital which your receiver can process but your TV can not. Try PCM stereo setting or "other".

Pioneer VSX-72TXV wont power up. mcacc light just blinks.. unit does not have a video 2 button on the face.

try holding the "TUNE -" button and the ZONE 2 on/off button and see if it turns on. If its turns on, but turns back off again, you either have a problem with your speakers (try disconnecting them) or there is a problem with the receiver that needs to be repaired.

I have a pioneer VSX-72TXV receiver, and when I switch to my Apple TV, Radio or DVD the audio does not work, but the video works properly. Also, if I only keep the system on cable TV, the video/audio...

I would check your input settings. If everything is hooked up through hdmi, make sure that those inputs are set for hdmi audio, not digital or analog. If it is a setting problem, you might be able to reset the unit and fix it, but you will lose any settings that you may have had for other things.

Pioneer Elite vsx-27tx receiver with no bass!?

There may be a subwoofer mute function on your amp. The sub out is nothing more than a preamp output with a low frequency response. It is meant to be amplified by an external amp. Either check your powered subwoofer for operation or look through your operators manual for a sub mute function.

Pioneer works with cable box but not with new blue

HDMI version is 1.3 in your receiver. The current version is 1.3b. I would suggest calling Pioneer cust assistance and see if there is a firmware update. Your unit has a 2 year parts & labor warranty. Their # is 1-800-421-1404 It sounds like a CODEC issue. Hope this helps

Recently purchased this reciever, and in reading the manual, I cannot tell if it will work if I hook my Comcast HDMI to one of the HDMI inputs (Input 2)? In general, i will be only hooking up the Cable box...

It should work fine. The Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K has been made so that it can accept 4 HDMI inputs (of which 3 are assignable, and 1 is for the BD player)
If you still have a problem, you can resort to the Official Thread on the Pioneer VSX 1019 AH-K on avsforum. A lot of helpful guys out there, and a very active thread.
