The problem is 4 capacitors on the power supply board. Just had mine done under warranty. They (Sears) replaced the whole power board but you can get larger capacitors and just replace those for alot cheaper if not under warranty.

It could be a faulty power supply (capacitors). To all who are having power supply issues: Samsung is now acknowledging a problem with faulty capacitors. I called 1 800 726-7864 and they said they would repair certain out-of-warranty TVs if the problem is related to the capacitors. I just called and they are sending a service rep out to diagnose the problem

I just called Samsung, having the same problem. They would NOT stand behind the product. Said that my model wasn't covered. I have model LNS4041D. I guess it's who you get on the phone. I may just call them everyday and see what happens. Very frustrated right now.

Try again and if you do not get satisfaction then request to be connected to Executive Services. They will probably not connect you but rather offer a call back. Press your case with them. I was told my the repair shop that my power issue (turns off and back on) was a panel problem. A replacement panel is a much more expensive repair. I suspect the repair shop was milking Samsung for the repair so they would get a larger labor reimbursement. Anyway, they offered to extend the warranty for three months and repair the TV. I pressed for six months warranty and they relented. I suppose the success depends on the rep you get. Try again and remind them of the huge amount of complaints and the possible class action that happen.

I just called samsung and they refuse to repair it. They are not acknowledging any problems or recalls on this model.

    I called Samsung isn't acknowledging
a problem with faulty capacitors. They just say that there are no recalls or any re-collection of this problem occuring. I'm so dis satisfied with there customer service, this is the last samsung product I will purchase.

Since this thread is old, I thought I would post a comment to update it. I just called the above referenced number at Samsung regarding the capacitor issue on model lns4041dx/xaa. They're sending someone out next week to fix it. Good to see them standing behind the product that is now a couple of years out of warranty.

Is it worth to replace the LCD panel ?\ The Replacement LCD panel code is BN95-00604A How to do the LCD panel repleacment

Considering the price of a TV I'd say not.

Did a google search and found this site using BN95-00604A: http://www.encompassparts.com/item/9186449/SAMSUNG/BN95-00604A/PRODUCT_LCD-AMLCD where they list the part at 565.00 including a 102 core charge which I presume would be returned to you once the core is received. It is unknown if this source is the only source, that this source would actually sell the part to anyone other than authorized service providers, it also doesn't address shipping costs or taxes and damages that may occur in transit. Also from this site, I learned that this part is used in a Samsung UN40ES6100FXZA 40-Inch Led 6100 Series Smart Tv
Here it is on Amazon for 829 with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN40ES6100-40-Inch-1080p-Black/dp/B0076M04QU

I just got a Sony Bravia 40 inch lcd 1080p high def tv. I am able to pick up a dvd picture on it, but I am having trouble finding my cable channels. I do have a cable box, and it is hooked in there...

When I installed my dads Samsung 40 lcd 120 hz. I had to turn it all off and after 5 mins I turned on the cable and then 5 minutes later I turned o the tv.

Or have you tried "searching" the tv for cable channel's?

Samsung LCD 40 inch LNT4061

Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

Thanks for using FIXYA, big IRISH.
