Three different causes. Your water reservoir in the refer section is behind your crispers, this can freeze up if you have adjusted your temperatures in your refrigerator or if you have a thermostat or damper problem. Adjust your refer thermostat to a warmer setting and wait a couple of days to see if it works. 2: Bad water valve, easy to test with an electrical tester. Remove your backing plate behind the refer. Loosen your water line to the valve to make sure you have water pressure. Tighten water line. Remove screw holding valve to cabinent. Test for 120 volts at the two wires that go to your water valve solenoid,(if there are two solenoids then trace the water line to your reservoir, the solenoid above this connection is the one to test). Someone had to press the water dispenser while you are testing voltage. I usually disconnect the water line going to the reservoir to see if water comes out when the switch is pressed. If no water but you have 120 volts then replace the valve. 3: Bad dispenser switch or wiring. This is a lot more complicated to test. Some dispenser assemblies are incredibly complicated and difficult to get into to test. I usually recommend you call a technician if you have reached this point. Good Luckd, Appliance Specialists
