This is a long shot but take out the battery and leave it a couple of hours then replace and place it on charge overnight then retry next day, you have maybe already tried that, the only other thing I can think of is get a multimeter or someone who knows how to use one and check that the voltage is kicking out 19v DC from the charger
have u download the 64bit drivers ? acer havent released windows 7 drivers for this model i recommend visting this acer link http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_8930.html choose the windows vista 64 bit sound driver once downloaded install ,if problem still persists then uninstall the driver then reinstall in compatability mode for vista ;) (rite click driver then properties and select compatability then choose vista and run as adminastrator ) hope this helps
I went to the Acer Pan American site (http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/) and navigated to the aspire 8930g page for drivers. The 'drop-down' window allows you to select Windows XP (Pro or Home) and provides a list of drivers for you model laptop. Check it out!
The Acer I bought for my Son last Xmas had the option of producing a full set of recovery disks and a drivers disk. If you have this option and you have used it then you have a way back to a functioning laptop if you have problems with the O/S change.
Download the drivers you need for the laptop accesories you have BEFORE YOU CHANGE THE OPERATING SYSTEM. Do your change then install your drivers. It appears from the surface that you should be able to do this change.
