Check for adequate grounding of these sockets!

A good bulb that's dim usually indicates a weak or broken ground path.

You should be able to use a test lead to offer the socket a good ground. If the dash light goes off, problem solved!

Testimonial: "although this did not provide me the final solution it did lead me to the problem. Turned out broken ground wire problem solved thanks"

I broke my driver side mirror, my boyfriend replaced the mirror but there is a wire that he has in his hand, where does that go and now the front headlight is blown out, we replaced the headlight bulb, it...

sorry had to laugh about the wire in his hand thing lol. does the mirror operate correctly? if so the wire may be ok to have in his hand :) as far as the lite on the front it could be a fuse. check under hood fuses to see if one blown, if they are ok get a test lite and hook to and ground sorce near the lit and unplug the lite. turn the head lites on and probe the plug. does it lite up the test lite? if so the bulb you got is defective if not then it may be a bad ground for that lite check the wires around that area to make sure there connected to the body good. try this first to see where you get to. hope this helps

Gear panel and air controls do not light up

If the instrument panel lites work, check the bulbs, or for an open in the wiring to the effected items. The gear selector and the a/c ,heater panel.is on the same circuit with the instruments panel.Check for an open ground too.

My dodge sport caravan light of the dashboard do not turn on i cheked the dim lights button but its not that i cant even see the speed or gas lights

Instrument lites are on a small amp fuse 3 or 5 amps. The lite switch may supply the power to the instument lites. to the fuse box first, then to the instrument panel. LOOK for the color code of the wire to the fuse panel and to the instrument cluster, check for power,in this wiring.Check bulbs and the grounding wire for the panel.Check all the plug ins.

1995 toyota camry stop lights are not working

If the fuse is fine and the bulbs are good you should check with a test light if power is being supplied to the terminals if the problem must be reached in the brake switch is on the brake pedal. Thank good luck

2000 Toyota Camry Panel Lights not working

are all your instrument panel lights dim? i know this sounds silly but i had a person the other day who had the dimmer switch turned down. if it's not that there is a fuse for the instrument panel, looks like it should be a 7.5 amp fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box. it's very unlikely that all of those lamps would fail at the same time. hope that helps.

Speedometer back lights not working

U will need to pull the instrument cluster out to replace these bulbs, no access from the back.
