There is no solution - eventually the entire picture will turn blue. It's out of warranty and replacement of the light engine is way too expensive. Start shopping for another tv - I did
Check a second source such as a dvd player or game system using different cables. If the same issue happens then the tv will need repair. However if the issue is not the same it is either cables or the original source.
go to the menu screen and select picture mode/menu and you should see the option to make changes to colors selection. You can also try and find one of your DVD's that has THX listed on the case. These DVD's have a calibration program included in the disc which can assist you with fixing the color issue
This is an LCD rear screen projection TV. There is a Red, Green and Blue LCD pallet that is mounted on what they call an X-cube. If all you are getting is Red and green then something happened to the blue pallet. Either the Ribbon connector came off or is loose or something worse. How hard did you mover it? Another thought. How is it hooked up. If component then this may be the issue as component video connections are Red, Green and Blue. Just a thought. Let me know. Blessings always, A/V Media Tech Guy
Hi, Lamp replacement procedure is written on page 69 to 72 in user manual of Hitachi 50V500A TV. Lamp cover is at front of TV, requires to unscrew it then lamp needs to unscrew and pull out lamp. If you need user manual copy, please download it from Here.
