Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range

Open Question

Bosch gas oven problem

Our oven will not self clean. The first time I tried alarms went off and the display code 43 came on. I waited a few months before trying again (big mistake) same thing happened and the warranty has expired. This time though, the oven lock display is continually blinking. At one point after the second attempt at self-cleaning we got a code: GAS 0600 34 001 200. The oven door does not close completely- probably that is why it won't lock to self clean. Sure hope you can help! Thanks,

Sandy Mewhinney

PS I had to enter a bogus product code since our Bosch wasn't listed.

You might try to reset the unit by unplugging it. Plug it back in, reset the clock & try it again. Hope that helps.

Why won't big oven door unlatch?

sounds like the lock motor has failed. Lots of clicking noises and not being able to lock/unlock is normally a good indicator. In some rare circumstances, main control board could be faulty. Look for me on 6ya if you need any more detailed help.

Electrolux Model EI30GF55GSE Self Cleaning Doesn't Work

When using the self cleaning feature, you may see the panel flash remove shelves then go off after a minute. The solution is that there is a bar in the back left of the oven that is connected to the self cleaning sensor. After sitting a few months it may get stuck. Try moving or flipping the bar back and forth a few times. you should hear the sensor clicking . Then try to clean the oven. It worked for me.

I found this on an appliance forum. It sounds the same as your problem. They say the code is F5 E1. Apparently the door lock latch is stuck.

I purchased my maytag double oven February 2011 and it has worked great. This morning I used the self clean cycle on top oven for only 2 hours. But after it cooled and unlocked I realized I needed to clean...

you might have to clean it YOURSELF....
umm, power down at circuit breaker for a minute, power up, reset clock and try again.
otherwise wait a few days.

I used self cleaning and when it finished now the oven wont come on did cleaning again and still oven wont come on door just appears in the display window.

You generally have to wait for the unit to cool down before the door will unlock. If you waited both times for more than an hour then during the selfclean cycle the control board was porbably damaged. Try shutting the unit off at the breakerbox for your home and wait 1 to 3 minutes.

GE true temp oven f2

This happens every time I clean my oven. It overheats, shows the f2 light and BEEPS loudly. The only way to stop it is to turn the oven off at the breaker box, wait until it cools (usually 2-3 hours), flip the breaker back on and start the process all over again until the unit is clean. If it's not to dirty, sometimes it's easier to juat use Easy Off.
hope it helped

1. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch.

2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary.

3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam.

4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this...
unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

Problem codes for self-cleaning ranges

My experience (Kenmore Ultra-bake Model 665-72002102) was that E1 F5 meant an error with the oven lock switch. In our case, the latch was partly stuck from food or other debris. Just moving the latch back and forth loosened the scale that was making it stick, and it worked again.
