Sansa 40gb e260 dont know how to put music on it . dont have manuel

Also make sure you are connected to a 2.0 usb the back of the computer is best (the motherboard).... USB mode located on the sansa if asked to change to MSC goto menu press enter scroll to settings press enter scroll to usb mode press enter scroll to msc press enter press menu.....Connect should auto start sansa software..... You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter to convert videos (and photos) to a format the Sansa can handle.

if it takes batteries put new ones in it

It is pretty easy. If running Windows just download the Sansa Updater (see link below) and install it.

Then, use the Mac/Linux instructions (even if running windows!) to put the e260 into MSC mode- turn e260 on, switch e260 hold switch to on, press and hold the e260s LEFT button "<<" while you plug the USB cable into the e260.

For me (running Windows XP) the Sansa updater automatically detected the e260 then and updated the e260's firmware.

The e260 works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card and won't work in the Sansa.
With a microSD card, simply put music tracks into a folder called "MUSIC". When the card is installed, the Sansa will see the additional tracks.

When you turn on the player, select the music menu, and then scroll down until the playlists logo appears - select that and then your playlist name should be there.

If it still isn't there, then the songs that you tried to sync have some sort of licensing restriction on them that does not allow them to be synced to a portable device - wmp will show them as synced, but alas - they will never actually show up on the player.

OK, we need to know what kind of CD - is it the drivers or a music CD? If you wish to put videos on an mp3 media player with video capability, they will have to be in .mp4 format.
If you're trying to put music on a CD to be played on any device, it will have to be .cda format.

hi go into your windows media player and on the left hand side where it says to build a playlist once you have plugged your mp3 player it will then say sansa just drag the songs from window media library to sansa in left pane then click start sync

You must use windows media player10 or newer. Add music to your library, plug in your sansa then go to sync tab in media player, there will be a button saying sync list. select all music.
And away you go..........

Do you mean the picture of the album of each song ?
