I can help you reprogram your RCA RCR311ST for all your Orion TV. The folks at RCA did away with a code search button for this model and you must press a combination of buttons to setup programming more.

I got this off the internet. But I do not know what type of universal you bought. You didn't mention it.

I have the same TV. I called RCA and they said the remote is not 'code compatible' and that I should check back with the website in the future. I think a learning remote is the only option at this point. Maybe a Logitech Harmony?

is your tv a combo? if yes, this remote does not control hitachi combo tv's

RCA doesn't have your manual up right now but using a simular model will help you with the remote button functions and programming
