NEC MultiSync FE991 SB monitor is loosing the "blue" color

It started about a week ago. It will lose the color after being on for about 3 to 5 minutes. I checked the cable, graphics card, pins, etc. and I believe the problem is CRT related.

SOURCE: screen and colors too bright

CRT and LCD will look different when compared side by side. Is your CRT calibrated, or are they right in the sense that they are what you are used to? Also Anyway, you can adjust the colors and light levels from the menu on your screen, and depending on your operating system and graphics adapter you should be able to make adjustments there, too. For windows XP, right click your desktop and select properties->Settings->Advanced. There might be a color management tab. Also, there might be software to help you do this already installed. Look for a program group with the name of your Graphics adapter manufacturer. Very often ATI or nVidia. SOURCE: nec multisync lcd 2080ux no raster no power indicator light.

If u a tech, try checking the PSU of the monitor for blown fuse or dead driver element ( typically a FET, Power transistor or an Hybrid chip) . U need to take the monitor apart, if unfamiliar, get it to a service tech.

SOURCE: touch system not working NEC multisync 1550v

You have to install the nec driver for this monitor. I have the same monitor. Im looking for the driver now. There are 2 versions of this monitor with the same model # . You will need to find the driver to the touchscreen model.

Depending on your operating system go to Control Panel of Windows and find the Power Options section.

NEC Multisync LCD1765: Screen flashes and then mintor turns off with message "No Signal"

Restart your computer.
As soon as it starts the start-up process, keep tapping the F8 key, repeatedly.
When you see the Windows "start-up" menu, select "start in safe mode".
Does your monitor work in this low-resolution (640-by-480 or 800-by-600) mode?
If so, then you had configured Windows to a too-high resolution that the NEC did not support.
Choose 1024-by-768, and click "Apply", to test that the NEC supports this mode.

Try connecting the NEC to some other computer, to see if the NEC itself is the problem.

In a move my NEC MultiSync 5FG monitor got disconnected from its BNC cable (5 BNC). Now I don't know which leads connects to which ports. Can anyone help?

The cable should be labeled with R (RED video signal), G (GREEN video signal), B (BLUE video signal), V (Vertical Sync signal), and H (Horizontal Sync signal), so you just have to match the plug to the sockets.
I hope it is clear explanations.

I CAN'T READ THE BLUE TEXT IN MY E MAILS

If Blue colors display properly in pictures or graphics check the display and size settings of your computer in relation to the size monitor.

If there is a problem with the blue color because of a problem with the monitor you might be able to compensate for it either with controls on the monitor or with the control software of your video card.

Cmv monitor bad color

The problem is your monitor, not driver or settings or video adapter cards. You have basically two options get another CRT or LCD display, or if it is still under warranty call the company get a "Return Authorization Number" and ship it back to the manufacturer. I did that with a NEC MUltisync 19" years ago, it turned red, there was little ability to actually change the red image at all. cI Shipped it back to NEC and it has worked ever since. Good luck with your monitor.
