It started about a week ago. It will lose the color after being on for about 3 to 5 minutes. I checked the cable, graphics card, pins, etc. and I believe the problem is CRT related.

CRT and LCD will look different when compared side by side. Is your CRT calibrated, or are they right in the sense that they are what you are used to? Also Anyway, you can adjust the colors and light levels from the menu on your screen, and depending on your operating system and graphics adapter you should be able to make adjustments there, too. For windows XP, right click your desktop and select properties->Settings->Advanced. There might be a color management tab. Also, there might be software to help you do this already installed. Look for a program group with the name of your Graphics adapter manufacturer. Very often ATI or nVidia. If u a tech, try checking the PSU of the monitor for blown fuse or dead driver element ( typically a FET, Power transistor or an Hybrid chip) . U need to take the monitor apart, if unfamiliar, get it to a service tech.

You have to install the nec driver for this monitor. I have the same monitor. Im looking for the driver now. There are 2 versions of this monitor with the same model # . You will need to find the driver to the touchscreen model.

Depending on your operating system go to Control Panel of Windows and find the Power Options section.
There should be a setting there to change how long to waite before the monitor sleeps.
