Question about Sewing Machines
I don't see the model # of your microwave listed here but if you have the new magnetron in hand than you know what to look for.
A word of Caution regarding the Magnetron and Microwave HV Capacitor - The HV capacitor must be discharged before working on the magnetron - the capacitor holds a potentialy lethal charge even when the set is unplugged.
The Magnatron is located usually on the right hand side, upper, center of the microwave. Once the back cover is removed it will be easy to identify by comparing wth the new one - the top part will not be exposed and there will be a two HV (high voltage) wires (usually red) connected to it and four screws or bolts holding it in place. The part # is on the old one and you can compare this to your part #. The part # you mention is common and crossreferenceable to a few other magnetrons.
The HV capacitor is a oblonged shped cylinder can with a component (diode) across its terminals - to discharge be sure the set is unplugged and short the terminals to chassis ground.
