Hello, I accidentally hit the input button the wrong way when I was trying to get my DVD player to run and now I have "snow" and "channel 2 analog" on my screen. Help! How do I get it back to the regular picture. Thanks

Hi,During timer recording adjustment you must have selected what ever you want to record..i.e: Tuner Channel , or ,Video1 input ,or Video 2 input etc..This problem is related with Source selection but not with - + type Disc..wrong disc will refuse to record at the beginning..
The noise and snow shows that your recorder was Recorded an unadjusted RF channel..thus no TV signal was available during recording .. I assume that your DVD recorder has built in TV tuner in...To correct the problem, first you make an automatic Ch set up ,search the available channels either on the Cable (if you have ) or RF local channels thru Arial Antenna.. than you try to record again by carefully selecting ..you will record TV RF channels successfully. Or you can attach another video source to your Recorder thru the RCA cables on the back panel and by selecting the respective SOURCE in accordance withe cabling you have made than you will record the AV signals available on your Receiver.. If you need more help pls let me know for further advise.
Hi:
Using remote locate a button called tv/video or Input, turn on the DVD player and hit this button until you see your DVD player Logo. Most dvd players use either video 1 or 2, or componet or HDMI outputs. Seems you have changed the TV's input back to TV mode and you need to change it to a video mode input.
Hello!!! My name is Becki Barned, with DISH Network customer service!! I hope this has already been resolved for you, but if not, here are some simple troubleshooting steps. I enclosed a link for cabling, from our website. The issue here could be caused by a cable ending up in the wrong spot accidentally. Also, I would try to unplug the receiver from the power source for about 10 seconds. And also make sure that your tv is on the correct channel. Tv1- channel 3 or 4, and sometimes an input such as video 1 or 2. Tv2- channel 60 or 73. If this has not been resolved, and you are still having problems, please email me at [email protected].
you have to change the input on the tv to AV. there should be an input button on the remote, but if your remote doesnt work you might not be able to change the input. you can try to use the channel up and down on the tv and once you get to the end of the numbers, some tvs will change inputs before restarting the number list. make sure you hook the yellow cable to the yellow plugs on the dvd and the tv and either of the red or white ones to the white one on the tv. red and white are left and right audio and the yellow one is the video
I came across this problem yesterday. Digital channels sound... Analog no sound. press the tv button on your remote to change it from DTV/TV
go to any channel you want. press the menu button then go along to Sound setup. In there you will see quite a bit. I went down to an option in there.. it was sound input or something similar. this was set to BG I changed this to 'I' and the sound came straight back on. Hope this helps you out.
Sounds like your TV has lost the DVD channel. Turn off TV and make sure the DVD player is connected to TV and is playing a DVD. Now put you TV on and press the SOURCE or AV button on your TV remote until you can see the DVD channel. In older TVs you may need select channel and tune it manually using the TV setup.
Connections in wrong spot - double-check to make sure all cables are in correct inputs and outputs
DVD may be set to display video through a digital conneciton instead of analog (or vice-versa)
If it's not the connections, then try unplugging the DVD player, hitting the power button couple of times, plugging it back in, this may force it back to default settings (if you're not using DVI or HDMI connection).
Tried to use my TV as a computer monitor. When tries to boot up, will go to "No Signal". All hooked up correct. Is ther something I need to do tobe able to use the monitor with my computer. I have a Dell Desk Top Computer.
