Good morning, i got a layer 3 Dell PowerConnect 6248 Switch what it seams that it is crashing my network infrastrukture over and over, all the Linksys Accesspoints are crashing, they seem that the signal is still active but they are not broadcoasting, if i try to ping any of the accesspoints from the desktop computer connected via cable to the lan, they are responding to the ping, i dont know many about the configuration of the layer 3 switch, mostly this my biggest problem, but turning off & On the device it resolves the problem, but many times happen the same problem when i am at home.
Where can i find this option?? I am on the web interface but dont know on what menu to find it. thxWhere can i find this option??

That is a good guess. Many of the switches available for home use are unmanaged, and will take any IP address given to them from the router and generate related IP addresses for the various devices on your network.
If your router has multiple Ethernet connections, you may not need the switch at all...just connect your Ethernet cables to the output plugs from the router.
most likly a failed power supply on the switch
look at the front of the switch look for leds,.......
if you see nothing and the power cable is plugged into a hot outlet than
go down to your neerest comp store and buy a new one
this has happened to me, leave it for a few days and try it, problem happens if it gets corrupt from power surdge it take the caps a long time to discharge around one of the ics with controlls how the ethernet chips work as there are 2 in this one.ic n.o c77331 is the problem leave of for a few days it will reset
thats not a big diffrence if you use a 24 port switch or if you use 48 port switch actually switch is used to a number of connection not for a internet speed that is use for a networking if you want to upgrade your configuration then you upgrade your ram and our hard dives configuration
