Make sure your wireless feature is turned on on the computer. There may be a switch on the edge of the computer somewhere, you don't say what kind of computer it is.

Find the wireless connection wizard on your computer and run it. Find it in your network folder in the control panel.

If this is too much, post a comment to this question and we will back up and start over.

BTW, if your laptop has a ethernet outlet (looks like a big phone jack), you can wire your laptop to your router.

I want to help you with this problem

thanks

Your Internet service provider is comcast cable company.
You need to open the setup page of the router and change the Internet connection settings manually.

Connect the computer to the router and modem to the router.
Open the setup page of the router using 192.168.1.1
Click on MAC address clone. Enable it and click save settings.
Power cycle the router and your main computer will be online.
Then you can change the wireless settings manually.

I have forgotten my password and need to connect a new computer to my router-the router is a belking plus mimo and I have a linksys wireless g speed booster -what do I do to fix this? Many thanks

Reset the both routers in order to go to the factory default setting.
BELKIN (192.168.2.1) normally has no user name or password. So just hit enter.
Linksys (192.168.1.1)
User Name: admin
Pass Word: admin

You can always change the user name and password

Good Luck!

Hey, need help here. Got linksys wireless-g

the great thing about the linksys brand is that they are owned by cisco and they will walk you thru the set up no matter when and where you bought that thing and they will spend all the time it takes to make you happy with the product. although the person you speak to will be in "new deli" india so they may need to repeat them selves many times.
have you tried access the router interface page with the computer hook directly to the router NOT wirelessly.???
I think I remember the linksys access page is at 10.10.10.100 in your internet explorer tool bar.

Router

Yea, if you have your initial run CD, use that but here is how you do it.

I
Other wireless devices.

You plug the ethernet cable going from the modem into the plug on the router labeled internet. Then give it a cable from ethernet slot 1 to the computer. You should be good 2 go.
