Your TV is not a rear projection it is a DLP if had been a rear projection the answer would have been YES! Cold would damage all 3 of Tubes But you have a signal Lamp so TV should be OK.

Tv won't turn on red lights blinking

You are hearing the spark gap mounted on the lamp ballast board. If you can hear that sound, that means everything in the lamp driver circuit is working except the lamp!

Get a new lamp.

JVC model HD-52G456 55inch TV shuts off after about an hour.

It may be that you have your tv plugged into the dvr. You would need to have your televison plugged into a reliable surge protector to protect it from surges. Your rear projection can be the most sensetive home theater component that you may have. Be careful of pulling the power from the television,, this can shortnen you bulb life. Allow the television to shut down until you hear the fan turn off. After doing this go into the menu and make sure you dont have the sleep timer set on your tv, if it is just put it back to zero.

Hope that helped....

Blue hue on screen

Probably the optics block. It needs to be replaced.

However, it looks like you're in luck. Sony will reimburse you.
