Avery 1770, keeps beeping and number one keeps repeating as if someone is constantly pressing number one.then it could stop for six weeks then just start again.is ther anyway of stopping this?

I think this has been answered very fully by Dazzy B - his answer is below :-

The zero capture is out of the 2percent tolerance so the cell is either faulty or requires zeroing. Open the unit and press and hold the micro switch on the left of the board. The display flashes s. Press the zero key to change to flashing E. Press store to scroll to zero balance. Press semi auto tare. This captures zero without clearing the span calibration. The display will scroll around for a short period when complete press store.. Release the micro switch and scale will go thru warm up routine then display zero. Hope this helps, regs Darren.

OCAP means over capacity. That means you probably have a bad load cell. You need to contact a scale service company for repair.
