For wifi connection: 1. Make sure that you have a working modem router in your premise.2. Turn the modem/router on.3. Select settings icon from your mobile phone.4. Select Wireless Connection or WI-FI connection.5. Select options, then select connect.6. You will be asked for the WEP or WPA key. This is depending on what is the security option that you selected in the modem settings. (for modem settings you can contact your internet service provider or OEM for the modem)7. If you are aware of your pre shared key, just type it in the password option from the mobile screen.8. Once connected, you can use the wifi as your active connection access.

hi, to connect to the internet, first you need a computer. Now assuming you've got that, you're going to need a modem (modulator/demodulator) it is a device that converts analog signals to digital signals and digital to analog. This device is usually provided by communication companies whose job it is to provide the internet services. they are known as ISP (Internet Service Providers) after acquiring your modem, you might be asked to suscribe to a data plan which will enable you surf the net. In summary, get a system, take it to an ISP, they give you a modem which they set up for you, you say for their services, voila! You have the internet. hope this helps pls vote this:-)
from what i have read, your router is broadcasting a signal, and your modem has an open and active internet gateway.
pls make sure that the connection from the modem to the router are correct. the modem should be connected in the port with the label internet. you may have to reset your modem AFTER you have connected the wireless router to allow the router to be assigned an ip. now with the wireless router and broadband modem connected, you can connect to the network and access the internet. pls repost if you hit any snags
GOOD LUCK and PLS rate this post.
two things, if you're using a wireless modem, unplug it from console, re-set it and let it connect and sit for a minute. then plug it back into the console. if you have just a regular modem do the same thing. make sure the wire connecting you're box to the modem isn't too long(over 7feet is too long). it wont update if you're not connected to the internet.
hi the best solution is that to download the modem driver cd for ur system. install that modem driver cd and the connect to internet. it will surely work out for u.. pls rate me
Other than the laptop and the LinkSys WRT54G, you would need an active account/subscription with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who then will provide you with a modem of sort.
On initial setup, connect your modem to your laptop and verify that you can connect to the Internet. Thereafter run the CD installer that came with the LinkSys before connecting/powering the LinkSys. Follow on screen instruction. At one point in the installation, you would be asked to disconnect the modem, connect the router and connect the modem to the router.
Should for some reason the above instruction will not address your concern, pls post back.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
