This happens when you accidentally put the iphone in zoom mode, which is one of the "accessibility" features under the "settings" icon. Most likely the user accidentally "double tapped" the screen with three fingers. This is what launches zoom mode. To change the zoom, double tap the screen with three fingers and drag the three fingers down or up the screen. To avoid this recurring, you can go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom. Then set the Zoom feature to "off".
You may need to restore your iphone. Connect to your pc, then hold the power and home buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button keeping the home button pressed until iTunes says "iphone in recovery mode detected" then release. Follow the instructions in itunes to restore your iphone, then re-sync to get your data back
Looks like your iPhone won't boot, It happens sometimes if your phone is jailbroken and you have installed another non-standard language interface, i install Hebrew on my phones, If i then erase all settings it will fail to boot, like yours...
I suggest you restore the phone and re-jailbreak
since you have erased all settings i presume you have no personal data on it, if you do have contacts/calendar/SMS items, try to backup via iTunes before you restore, even when only the apple is showing, sometimes you can connect to the phone via iTunes/WinSCP
my advice to all iphone user _ don't ever upgrade or unlock via software if you dont know well the procedure any mistake while downloading the software will mess up your iphone.... upgrading from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 will not help your iphone to be the latest version its just the same and no sense at all
