Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor
My viewsonic monitor stopped functioning and started to emit a burning smell. I checked with their online support and was instructed to email them about the problem. I did this THREE times, and at one week later, still have not heard from them! I tried several times to contact them by phone and was put on hold for an interminably long time.
I called CompUSA, the store that sold it to me, but they just told me to call Viewsonic.
The monitor is still under warranty, but what good is that if I cannot contact them! Could you suggest a more productive way to do this?
Take it to the store and request an exchange. If they refuse tell them you will contact the BBB or Atty's General and file a complaint. If it was sold with a warranty and is still valid with proof of purchase they should honor regardless. These guys are just doing there jobs at the store level and I'm sure you can get it rectified.
