The sansa e260 worked perfectly for about a month untill one day I put on a new video and my whole video collection got deleted. Now when i connect it to the computer it say that most of my memory is taken up by videos but i can't see them in the video folder on my computer or on the device itself.
The video folder on my computer screen shows a bunch of folders named with a dash mark which I have no idea how they got there. They are all small and don't excede 200mb. When I try to delete them it says the sansa has been disconected and it won't continue with the operation. Is there anyway I can repair my Sandisk Sansa e260?
Go under settings, and then click usb settings thier should be three types auto format, msc, and mtp. try one mode and see if your music or videos comes up, on the computer until you have tried all three, your data should be placed under 1 of these modes

yes i have the same trouble, but with music.
My Sansa e260 unit had satisfactorily played video files and I was able to upload and offload previously converted video files with no problems.
" is displayed when your try to access them for playback in Video mode.
However recently when video files are converted for use using the Sansa Media Converter, they play satisfactorily for the first time they were converted into the unit only.
When previously converted files are transferred back into the unit in MSC mode the files appear to transfer however "
When trying to transfer previously converted files in MTP mode, a message is displayed that the unit won't accept VTS files and only music and photo files can be transferred.
Any assistance/comments would be appreciated.
