I have The Marantz DR4050 CD Recorder and doesnt let me record ,apear the ERROR OPC, although i use the AUDIO CDS that requires to work with, any help??

Try to use different discs. Older unit may have problem writing high speed discs. Try to find 1x or 2x discs. OPC-optical power calibration. Another possibility that yourlaser is on the way out

Why do I get OPC error when trying to record on aCDRW ON a philips cdr 785

Common issue. The lasers/transports in these are terribly unreliable.
More of these hit repair stores and skips than pints of beer down a football thugs throat.
cut your time and loses and invest in one from any brand other than Philips. pioneer and Yamaha make exceedingly good CD-R recorders for the home user. Hhb, marantz, fostex for the pro market

Hi,
It sounds like you haven't followed the last step to the burning procedure. All you need to do once you've completed burning your disc is to Finalize the disc. Read below why you need to finalize as well as the steps to follow in order to finalize the disc.
Hope this helps ;)
How to Finalize Finalizing is writing the TOC (table of contents) on a disc so a CD player can recognize the number of tracks, the total time for each track, and their location on the disc. A recorded disc must be finalized to playback on a standard CD player. Once finalized a CD-R disc can be played on CD players that support CD-R playback. CD-RW discs can only be played on CD players that support CD-RW playback. Consult your CD player owner's manual to confirm supported formats. Finalizing is necessary to: • be able to play a recorded CD-R or CD-RW disc on a CD player • prevent further recording on a disc • avoid erasing tracks on a CD-RW disc • record text information onto a disc you record Notes: • A finalized CD-R disc can never be recorded onto again. • A finalized CD-RW disc can be unfinalized for more recording. • The CDR300 can play back unfinalized CD-R or CD-RW discs. • SYNC REC+FINAL mode automatically finalizes.
Here are the steps in order to Finalize your disk
1 Push Stop. The display shows the number of tracks and their total playing time. 2 Push FINALIZE. FINALIZE is displayed for about 3 seconds.

Hi.I have CD Recorder Marantz DR6000.After reading and initalizing blank CD-R Audio next on display show OPC ERROR.It,s reading all audio CD,s,oryginal, and CD-R.When I wanna finalized old CD-R,recorded by...

DR-6000 only accepts CD-R audio or CD-R music discs, not the standard CD-R discs. the difference is that the audio and music discs have the OPC formatted differently and they cost a bit more because they include the royalties fee. Standard CD-R discs won't work in this recorder. The correct discs have compact disc "digital audio" logo on them.
