Remove 2 screws from under front grip and the swivel foot should slide forward and out (might need a bit of a twist to loosen) plastic grip should now slide forward and off.

Theres a c-clip that hold the shoe adjustment on, pull that clip and pull out the shoe adjustment, you can now pull the boot off

Porter Cable Tiger saw 9735 stopped working

blow it out and spin the motor by hand you may have saw dust blocking the brushes. If that's not it check the brushes to see if they have life left in them. If not that check the cord for an open with a volt ohme meter.
Hope that helps!

I have a Model 737 Tiger Saw that was loaned out and now I cannot load a blade. It appears that a blade may have been broken off in the quick change collar. I cannot pry it out, so I must disassemble the...

Its hot pressed onto the shaft its made not to come apart because if it did in use it would not be good. I use sawalls all of the time and fine if the blade snaps low you can get them out with a strong magnet if you hold it up side down and turn the collar shake it around mabey spray some WD40 in side first it may take a little doing but it beats takeing that change collar a part.

How do I replace the blade?

Hi rq,

Look at the base of the blade, there is either a half twist quick disconnect or an allen screw.

Safety first: Unplug the saw.

If its the allen screw it will be located to one side of the blade. Just loosen it , pull the blade out.

The half twist ring doesa what its name implies. Twist it as far as you can (holding the saw with the bladed to the ground allows it to drop out) to free the blade.

How to remove the blade on a tiger saw quick-change,model#737?

At the base of the blade where it attaches in the saw you will see a round in shape with ridges fixture. Turn it so the slot is in line with the blade. Then you will be able to remove the blade. If the fixture does not turn, move the blade up and down while you turn the fixture.

Blade won't lock.

There is a ball lock in it and you have to twist the ball lock but if the ball lock is frozen generally WD40 will help unfreeze it and work it until the ball is free and should work just fine.

Broken blade on a porter cable 737 tiger

This is a jigsaw miscatagorized as a chainsaw. Do you have a blade big enough to drop 24" tree? We don't answer jig saw questions in the chainsaw section.
