Hope it is not too late but have had the same problem, just got around to open up the case and found the problem and was able to fix mine and now it plays fine. My problem was with the cd turn table it was not be feeding the cd into the player causing the m-error..

did you try a lot of cds? i mean more than 1 cds? coz if you already try it.. maybe some part of the cds.. has damaged. or the lens.. or maybe it was disalligned..the slider of that cd...all you have to do..open your cd player..!! try to look the lens area.. you can use cotton..clean it with a cotton.. only the lens.. and try to touch the slider.. i mean.. move it.. but not so hard..
you have that warranty? call your dealer instead before making moves to apply the warranty of it,,,
Check firstly, if your radio is Fisher Tad-9415 you are in ****! The only chance which you have it is to make it repaired by the company. The price of repairing: $750 us address I do not know it. Sorry. But, keep really because the casset reader and the radio FM always works. I would pay $1000 us to renovate this radio if I was you! I hope that you is not too much over!
