Question about Emerson EWR20V4 DVD Recorder/VCR
Simple any blank dvd medium is fine. Depends on size of file you want on dvd either 4.7 G or a double layer. Also either + or - are fined, depends on your machine.

I've used this unit a lot in the last four years, but have only tried a few different DVD-RW's & -R's. Mostly I've had success with Maxell DVD-RW's, mixed results with Memorex -RW's, & so far Fuji -RW's have been just fine. I think these brands of -R's should work too. The Maxell's have gotten hard to find, but I was happy with my order of Fuji's from TotalMedia.com. I've only recently learned that you need to heed the manual & use a DVD lens cleaner disc every 10 hours or so -- apparently even a mote of dust on the laser lens can destroy your recordings, or at least will cause unwatchable skips! Good luck --
