All the pictures are coming out stripy

Hi. I changed the ink cartridges on my printer in Sept ish. Everything was fine. I haven't used the printer more than normal and now when I print things the photos seem to have stripes all the way down them and a bandof green at the top. There are no flashing lights on the printer telling me the ink is running low. Could I need to clean the ink jet heads or something. If so how do I do it.

Why are pages coming out striped?

There is probably dirt on the rollers or on the paper carrier. You could try running the printer through a self clean first. Go into the printer settings, menu, locate self cleaning and press that.

Blank pages printing

Sounds like the printhead is pretty severely dried. As standard cleaning cycles haven't helped I would recommend picking up some LC900 cleaning cartridges from eBay etc. These are cartridges filled/partially filled with cartridge flush and break down ink inside the printer.

Most of them contain a mix of ink and flush and you can carry on printing as usual. Given the severity of the dried/blocked printhead you have I would recommend just running cleaning cycles, but leave 10 minutes or so between cleans to avoid overheating the printhead.

Hp photosmart 8050 won`t print black even though it says it full

Hi there! If you haven`t used the printer in 2-3 months the black ink cartridge has gona dry.Wich means the printer is seeing full ink but the ink isn`t actually coming out from the ink head.Take a peace of clean cloth or cotton and clear the bottom part of the ink head(be verry carfully while cleaning it cuz you may dmg the head.If that doesn`t help just go and buy a new ink cartridge and it will solve your problem.

Getting

Hi there
Your error message is coming from the Dell Series 5 ink Cartridge. To reset the error message, unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer. Wait 60 seconds and then plug everything back in. This usually resets any error messages on the printer. Make sure the Dell Series 5 ink cartridges are intalled correctly by removing them and re-seating them .
Black in left or black side, color in right side or color side

If using a photo cartridge...

Photo cartridge in the black side(left) and color in the color side(right)
Dell Series 5 ink cartridges have a sensor in them that cannot be reset

It is also possible to get a new ink cartridge with a bad sensor. Please take it to the place of purchase for a refund or a replacement one.
Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

I have a Tallygenicom8108N colour laser printer

We are having the same problem also. We have sent one cartridge back to supplier for replacement but now the other two color cartridges are starting to go grainy / stripy. I am not happy with the tallygenicom 8108N colour laser printer but we have spent a fortune on it with new cartridges all round. I have shaken the cartridge and that did nothing at all. Is anyone else having this problem.

I recently changed the colour cartridge and now the printer wont print colour. Black works - ish. I have troubleshooted and did everything recommended eg clean print heads, nozzles, align heads etc....

Please see the online guide at:

http://support.epson-europe.com/onlineguides/en/sc48/refg/ref_g/

and click on Replacing Ink Cartridges. To change a cartridge before it is low or empty you must press the maintenance button AND the power button at the same time, or use the print utility.

If the new cartridge also fails to produce print, come back with a new comment for further help.

Prints grey not black

I solved this problem but probably not what the printer manufacturer would recommend! The reason you are just getting grey is that the black ink cartridge is either empty or dried out from non use and only the color cartridge is working. I had the same problem after being away for 5 months. I put the printer cartridge in a bowl of warm water to disolve the dried out ink on the print pad. I dried off the cartridge with a soft cloth and then it worked perfectly.
