Well u run a power wire atleast 4 guage from the positive terminal on the battery, then 4 guage to a chasis ground source, then a remote wire to the rear of your cd player that will kick the amp on when the cd player turns on... then for subwoofer wiring go to www.the12volt.com for sub wiring options... you need either single voice coil 4 ohm subs or 2 ohm dual voice coil subs to get the 2 ohm load to the amp so u can get the rated power out of it...

Alpine Mrp-m850 I'll be driving and suddenly my amp will just stop giving output. the light doesn't even twitch when this happens, and everytime it does, I have to take me faceplate of my...

It sounds like your amplifier is over heating. It might be an ohm issue. Try unbridgeing your speakers from the amplifier and run each speaker seperately to the amplifier to equal out the ohms on the amplifier. If your speaker box is bridged take each speaker out and rewire them seperately. If the problem still happens you may need a new amplifier and wire that one in as stated above.

About Power supply wires (MRP-M1000 only)

• 21mm2 is the minimum power and ground cable size

that should be used to connect this amplifier. The

length of these cables should not exceed 1m to assure

safe operation.

• If the length of the power and ground cables exceed

1m, or if you connect more than one amplifier, a distribution

block should be used with 33mm2 or 53mm2

power and ground cables depending on the length

necessary. Ensure that you install a correctly-rated

in-line fuse on the power cable near the battery positive

post.

Amplifier wont move subs

I dont know if this will help you but start at the deck and make sure that the outputs(RCA) arent crossed over to highpass and do the same at the amp make sure that its set for lowpass- set half gain -bass boost half gain- subsonic minimum - If that doesnt help try using an i pod with an adaptor that you can play it right into the amp this is to see if you are getting signal from the deck to the amp if it doesnt work with an i pod or mp3 plugged directly into it then you may have got you a blown amp going on- good luck with that

Equipment not turning on!???

Have you tried checking the remote wire yet? Because it could very possibly be that. Without a remote wire hooked up, you cannot get any power. Try that and see if it works.

Wont turn on...

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
