The 55 " screen doesn't show the entire broadcast picture

Instead of trying to make the TV display the picture the right size I suggest you adjust it at the source. If it is a cable box or sat box there should be a display adjust capability to size the display to the native resolution of your TV.

Try operating on screen adjustment command, if there is no way to adjust screen position , then it may be a faulty component inside the TV.

Is the tv still under guaranty?

Top of screen disappeared...cant see score of game

The Height adjustment is off... look in the back of the TV set, it has some knobs in the back, one should be vert.lin for Vertical Linearity adjustment, and there is another call Vert.Hgt. for Vertical Height adjustment. try adjusting the Vertical Height first with someone watching in the front of the big TV to see if the top comes back into view, you might have to adjust the knob very slowly one way then the other way, to make this adjustment. If it doesnot adjust take it to a TV shop to get it repaired.
Good Luck.

I'm watching football and cannot see the top score

You should adjust the aspect ratio on your cable box. Depending on your cable company there should be an aspect/HD zoom button. If this does not work go into the TV settings using the "menu" button and try to find a reference to aspect. Make sure it's set to 16:9 normal vs. stretch. You can contact Total COntrol Remotes (www.totalcontrolremotes.com) for help with this kind of issue.

I had the same problem. My cable company told me to press the # button on my remote to change it from "zoom" to "normal" and it solved the problem.

Download the service manual and you'll find that there's a service mode that allows you to adjust convergence. Also, there's some adjustment knobs behind the right front speaker assembly
