No service-will not connect to provider, shows phone icon with a slash

I bought a replacement phone due to loss of my other one, it is used, but every function works, i have walked thru the steps with cricket to set it up and paid the fee to activate the service. the phone shows a icon at top of a phone with a line thru it. and says no service and will not complete a call. it shows my phone number in the memory of the phone since it was programed. i have tried changing everything in it i can think of digital to analog, automatic, no roaming, and mixtures of any combination i could think of and yet no service. i am still using my old number i had with cricket and wonder why it will not work, it is an identical phone as to what i had and lost. Hi i cant get an internet connection and cant download apps either.

Since you just bought the phone, please take back to your cell phone service providers store and have them show you how to use your new phone to connect to the internet. This is what you're already paying for each month.

I am trying to connect to the web with my new sylvania ce netbook and it has the right password in it I click the internet icon says connecting the shows up unable to connect. Can you help me or should I...

Using the Personal computer to arrive into network requires turning on the device that would have a password to display the system windows. After the computer turns on though would have required a computer user password or possibly not, locate an internet explorer icon whether example; google, mossilla fox pro, chrome, netscape, internet explorer, are just network interface where network features would show up on. 2. clicking on the internet icon should require a password if built to require user pass before joining a network. 3. The password would possibly been disabled in some instances, where for example clicking on the internet explorer icon should simply display a page welocoming the network required. For example, if the internet explorer icon is clicked showing display page momentarily, then www.Google.com is typed in the search space of the page displayed, a connected network should show another page displaying the features of the page or site google show mometarily after search space has been click. An unconnected network would always display a message or network unavailable or internet not setup and requiring establsiment. The most situation would be a message communicating the cause of network malfunction. if the computer has a network subscription plan, for example a provider that has promised to network the computer in question for fees, where would have provided the computer user an installation kit either software to install on the computer to be linked to a network. The computer with networking defaults would turn on completely only after which just cannot network into another setup when a page is clicked onto it. Simply, ask your network provider for further assistance.

The following are network providers to contact for subscription and technicallities involving computer telecommuncation.

Cricket wireless services
AT & T wireless services
T-Mobile wireless services
Verizone wireless services
Pocket commication services
Trac wireless services
Boost mobile wireless services

Visit any locations to inquire about networking functionalities to phones or computers or contacting online by email or phone with questions of connectivity

I have a problem with my Nokia E72 which shows requesting divert status message every time I restart the phone and show a blue colored phone icon just above service providers name(Vodafone in)

This icon appears due to the app adv comm manager app that came in free with the device. go to that app and ensure that you keep no filter / off as your chosen setting. The icon will disappear.
read the entire guide on how to use the adv comm manager.

My screen reads "SIM not allowed MM#3", and in the upper right, next to the icon showing how many bars of reception I have, there is an icon of a phone handset with a red slash bar across it. I cannot...

This means you have no service in the place the phone is at.

You need to go somewhere where you get full service and try it.
power down, remove battery, replace battery, then see what it says when you are in a place that you would get good service.

Still have problem, go to your phone carrier and have them check the sim card and your service, it could be your shut down.

My iphone keeps buzzing and shows an icon of the ringer with a slash thru it it wont actually ring, just vibrates altho the ringer is on

"An icon of the ringer with a slash through it"?....Usually that means that the ringer is OFF.If you're sure that the ringer is in fact ON , then check your profile. If it's in the Silent or Meeting profile, the ringer is switched off by default and it goes to vibrate.

I have a symbol of a phone with a red slash through it HELP !!

HI. This is a no service signal. There are two reasons for this type of symbol. The first reason will be that your service provider has canceled your service for some reason. I would contact this provider for further discussion if this is the case. Secondly, this may be a severed internal antenna connection, due to a cold solder break between the board and antenna connection points. if this is the case, you will need to have this unit service asap, if possible.

**((A highly uncommon issue could also be that the NAM or PUK codes have been changed inadvertently. Although uncommon, this can happen by accident))

Screen shows a battery with a red slash

This could mean a few things. Here are the different ways to try to fix it:

1. Charge your battery for at least an hour, preferably overnight. If that doesn't get rid of the red slash, continue down this list...

2. Try a fully-charged battery from another phone. Either borrow a battery from someone or go to a local store to try one. If the red slash goes away, your battery is defective. If you have had your Blackberry for less than a year, your service provider should replace it at no cost. The number for warranty service is: 1-800-801-1101.

3. Try your battery in another phone. Again, if your battery does not work in the other phone, your battery is defective. If your battery does work in the other phone, you have a software issue.

You need to download the latest version for your device. You can get that either from your service provider's web site or from Blackberry (www.blackberry.com).

Save the folder to your desktop, double click it to install it your computer - be patient - it can take a while.

After you have downloaded the software to your desktop, connect your blackberry. Go into the Desktop Manager on your computer and use the program called Application Loader to install the new software on your Blackberry. Make sure that, when you see the "Advanced" box, you choose that option. Make sure you check both boxes to remove all current installed software.

4. Finally, if reloading the software does not work, likely your Blackberry is defective. You should call your service provider and ask that it be replaced (Note: call them even if you are out of the warranty period; if you are a good customer, they will often replace your phone anyway).

Hope that helps.
