Please unplug all the cords of your player from the back, even the power cord and allow it to reset for 2 hrs. After 2 hrs plug in all the cords and then try ejecting the disc,it will come out.
To remove "SAFE" from the front display, using the remote control, press and hold "INFO" for 5 seconds until it disappears. This was probably acitivated while you stopped a recording which can trigger it, of you may have activated "Safe" by pressing the INFO button several times. This is to prevent access of the recorder by locking all controls. This is for the DVD Recorder/VCR combo VR320 and the 1st generation DvD Recorder DVR-130.
Even though this was a product I regret purchasing, it isn't as bad a people make it out to be. It works best with DV cable recording from 1 Hour Mini-DV tape camcorders to 1 Hour XP Record DVD mode. It is probable one of the best. Only issue I have is when you try playing a finalized DVD-R disc in another DVD player, there is a chance it might not work because of the Highest quality 1 Hour record mode. Standard is 2 Hour SP. You will have to burn an exact copy using DVD copy software on your computer to DVD-R. This will fix the problem.

Unlock region code for SanyoHV-DX350A DVD/Video player. 1. Turn on unit 2. Select DVD 3. Open tray 4. Press 0520 then in sequence press arrow up, down, left and right. 5. The region management screen is displayed on your monitor ( Code is displayed on the unit LCD display). 6. Note - Your current EEPROM region code setting is displayed on the screen. 7. If you repeat steps 1 to 4, you can view your new setting.
There should be a button on your remote labeled "safe." Press that, and it will turn the safe mode off. It's on the second row from the bottom on my remote.
the dvd is having a problem with the lens clean it ,if that does not work take it to a tech to adjust the lens or replace them there is also a flat strip that leads from the lens body to the circuit board this should be change.good luck.
The safe mode on Sanyo VCRs locks out the buttons on the machine. Try using the remote. To turn off the safe mode, look for a button on the remote labeled "Safe."
