Go to toms harwaere.com for viewsonic vx922 problems. Solutions for green power light blinking are there. Solutions say to replace the capacitors

Brightness and contrast decreased automatically
check that you were not running any programs that you have allowed to automatically change settings, enter control panel and set settings to allow manual changes only!

ViewSonic E70fB Brightness & Contrast problem
Sounds like the buttons or the button panel are messed up. Or it has gotten moisture in it.

The only time i have seen this was when one of the buttons were malfunctioning, and we ended up replacing the monitor.
