In your web browsers address bar type 192.168.1.1
login using the modem username and password.
go into the configuration and make sure your username and password are set
Make sure that computer's tcp/ip is set to "obtain ip automatically".
What does it say? how many bars of singles do you have?
you may be connected, and it may have some bars of connection, but i think, that it is saying that you are limited or no connectivity? then that means that you are typing in the wrong network key that it need to "talk" to the computer and back to the router.
what you have to do is to connect to the router directly, open a internet page with that connection, type in the address bar, "192.168.1.1", by default, the user name blank, and the password is: "admin." you then go to the wireless tab, and under that tab, click. "security". type in something that you would remember in the passphrase box, and then click "generate passphrase." use the chart to coordinate where your network key is, then that is your network key that you must use in order to connect to the router, with a vaild internet connection.
i hope this helps, but i would like more information about the problem next time please.
