Cant see why not if you have a VGA (usually blue 15 hole (3x5 rows) connection on the Plasma TV, it should be ok. Connect the VGA cable to your PC and then to the TV, then power both up, Search through you TV Sources till you find VGA or sometimes AUX and you will see your PC booting up as normal. Also you might want to put sound to the tv too, in which case you'll need a 3.5mm jack lead at one end (into the sound card Green Jack Socket), to what ever the sound input is on your TV, usually the same 3.5mm Jack. If you want to still use your PC monitor too, you will need a VGA Y splitter, only a couple of quid off ebay, and another VGA cable, about the same price. Hope that's of use to you.

My 42" Vierra 1080 plasma

The pixels in the screen are commanded by a buffer board . This board connects to the screen with the help of a wide flat connector - in your case this command circuit appears to be faulty: either the buffer circuit is failing and the entire buffer board will have to be replaced ($250 part and labor from a pro) or the connection itself appears to be slightly out of line so when heated the contact is lost and the pixels get stuck (in that case the tv will have to be completely dismantled and all the contacts to the plasma panel reseated - $200 in labor).
Ask a quote around and select the cheapest repair shop you can find.

My Goodmans X-Pro 42" plasma TV got turned on and off at the wall socket several times in short succession. The picture now consists of nothing but fuzzy vertical coloured lines. The sound is still ok.

Common problem, one of 2 boards.......I have same problem but cannot find a fix......according to the crack the boards are foreign and are no longer available :(

You have a Ysus problem. Sounds like a cold solder joint or loss connections on ysus main board.

Goodmans plasma 42" gtv42p3

When that happened, the part responsible is often a ribbon connector cable, that connects to the plasma screen right when the screen starts to be black.
The ribbon cable has a built in chip , when the chip is gone you get this problem.

Goodmans 42 plasma gtv42p3

This sort of fault is normally caused by a bad connection on one of the ribbon cables on the ysus board, Ribbon connectors will need to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol & replugged in firmly. If you undertake this work your self please be carefull not to dage the ribbon when pulling out & refitting.
