The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

If you took a high voltage hit then chances are pretty good that you fried the whole unit. The best I can offer is taking off the back and see if you can find any burn marks on any of the boards.

i fix these tv's on a daily basis at work, its the mainboard as these tv's power supply is part of the main board. there's only 1 board in these tv's actually.
its really due to the power supply they come with. get a better lite on or better one from frys and the tv wont have issues. i had 2 go out with the stock power supply

First try a new power cord for the TV. If that doesn't solve the problem, the power supply has failed. (Possibly one or more capacitors on the power supply board have failed. Alternatively, a fuse, zener diode or resistor that works as a fuse has failed) You will need to open the tv and inspect the power supply. Westinghouse TVs use a number of different boards. If you want to replace the entire power supply, you will need to note that exact part number on the label. New, original parts - probably not. IBM usually will only sell to their authorized service centers and technicians. You may be able to find used parts on eBay. Make sure you are getting the EXACT same replacement part - the wrong power supply can result in a fried mother board.
