The CMOS battery is in a black retangular chip (35mm x 20mm) next to the HD. The name "Dallas" shoud be printed on this chip, which can be replaced. Just tweek up each end. Note the way the label is facing should you reconnect. The label will read: panel 5v, Sig 5v, invert 12v if you have a 10.4" A 12.1 LCD will have the panel at 3.3v. Hope this helps you. Glenn
Testimonial: "Thank You for the info. Where can I purchase one?"
A CMOS battery inside any motherboard is basically always inside a little slot and its circular like you'd put in a very tiny handheld game, getting it out is usually prying the little switch holding it in and pushing the battery up at the same time.
Be sure to follow these instructions and need-to-know facts:
1. Without a CMOS batteru, your computer does not know date and time.
2. When removing the battery, please power down the computer first.
Hope this helps and I receive a good rating to know whether or not I was helpful to you.
