My dvd-s52 notifies me that DVD-HD disk is unplayable

The disk is an original DVD-HD from Netflix, apparently new and in perfect condition.

My player is hooked to my Samsung HDTV via an HDM1 cable by Monster.

Every other HD DVD I havve tried has worked fine. Netflix told me to try you, so don't say talk to Netflix

My Panasonic dvd/video player says that the dvds are scratched even when they are new.

for sound may be you are using above 96khz frequency which your reciever is unable to adjust and always try to play original dvds in players if you want your player's life long.

DVD PLAYER/BURNER

Harry, two possibilities that are immediately apparent. One, the lens on the drive is dirty. Stop by a department store and buy a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner CD and put it in the drive several times, making sure that it tries to read it each time. This can brush away the debris on the lens and it may work again. Two, the drive motor or lens assembly (that moves) has failed. My experience is that these drives have a 2-3 year life span. Luckily, they are now bargain-priced and you can pick them up at your local discount store and replace them yourself.

Dvd writer problem

If everything works fine except that disk then its the disk its self.
either there is a scratch on the disk or it was a bad burn from the manufacturer.
