Error code LE Front load washer about 4 years old. This is the first time we had an issue with it. My wife called me and said the water filled but that was it and the error code said LE. This was after she just finished doing a load earlier.
Re: Error code LE Front load washer about 4 years old....
That error is a Lock Motor Error. First thing I would do is to replace the hall sensor and check for loose connections going into the hall sensor as well as the main board.

The error code "LE" appears after an unsuccessful attempt to fill the drum with water that results in the water level being too low to safely begin cleaning. The product manual suggests calling for service, but there are several steps you can take to try to resolve the issue at home.
The "LE" error occurs when a Samsung washer is in the process of filling but cannot reach the required water level. In most cases, there is an issue with the washer's water inlet hoses. Check that they are installed properly and there are no kinks in the hoses.
LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time it is just a
bad hall sensor (the motor position sensor). For your model the part
number is 6501KW2002A.
If water runs in when the machine is OFF but stops when the tap is turned off it means a faulty watervalve.replace water valve. Probably a double valve. Dont mix up the hoses or the wires........Nomess
First try unplugging the machine for a few minutes and then retry a cycle. If you still get the LE error:
The Hall sensor (part number 6501KW2001A) has failed. The hall sensor is rather easy to replace, and is covered by a seven year part warranty (in the US). Take the back cover off. Take the big nut off and remove the motor rotor. Remove the bolts holding the motor windings. Remove the electric plug on the sensor and unclip it from the motor winding. Snap new sensor on and reassemble. Usually takes under a half hour. On a difficulty scale of 1 - 10, it might rate a 4. This should be a Fix-Ya for your machine, and at basically no cost! In the US, find a service provider using your zip code at http://us.lgservice.com/index_b2c.jsp or callLG at 800-243-0000
An LE error is a locked rotor. The hall sensor on the stator part of the motor is not sensing the rotor part of the motor is turning. So the short version is you need a new stator(which has the sensor on it or just the sensor) replaced which should have a 5 year warranty on it so call LG for your nearest authorized service center
Try replacing the sensor assembly. Part number 6501KW2002A. It is on the stator itself where the 4 wire connector clips to. Only costs $17 + change & shipping. Mine works fine now!
Thanks, I'll give that a try when I get home!
