Question about ViewSonic N2750w 27 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
This flat panel shut itself down & now has no power. Power cord and fuse are ok. Power switch is ok. Several capacitors on the power supply board are bulged. MBR30100pt diode array tests ok.
Any suggestions aside from replacing the caps on the power board?
A lot of TVs are having their power boards go bad due to a poor brand of capacitor (CapXon usually).
If small problems are noticed with the tv, the solution is to replace the capacitors. However, once the TV gets to the point where there is no power at all any more (not even a stand-by light) then the power supply has to be replaced.
Visit Viewsonic's website or call your local Viewsonic repair shop to get a price on this board. They are usually under $100.
