If epson tmt 81 is not printing test page then check for dip switch below the printer and also reinstall the printer driver & configure the port properly
Your printer is probably set to Off Line. You'll need to go to Start-Printers and Faxes, and in the new window right-click the Epson TM-T88III icon and from the popup menu select the Use Printer Online setting. If this doesnt work check to see if the USB cable is loose both at the PC end and at the printer end. While you're at it, see if the printer shows any signs of life (any lights on, any messages on the LCD)? There just may be an issue of loose power cable, so you may want to check that also.
Dear Clark, it seems you have a lot of money when you suggest to waste a printer 240€ value. The solution: Link www.epson-pos.com and register, after that, follow this path: Thermal line printers Choose your model Epson Advanced Printer Driver for TM Series (the first option for Windows7) Install it, it Works properly.
I've had this issue many times. The only resolution is to completely uninstall the printer using the epson utility then re-install. This solution is only temporary as it will go to unavailable within 2 or 3 days.
unistall the epson driver.
reboot your system.
connect and turn on the printer.
reinstall the driver, v3.02, selecting for create a serial port.
choose the right setting os serial interface.
after install, reboot your system.
I had the same with XP .... I had my home inkjet (Parallel port) on LPT1. The Epson TM software and printer worked fine after removing the ink jet from LPT1 and re-installing the TM driver.
