External speakers I have a DVD player hooked up to the Hitachi CP-S210, and external speakers hooked up to the projector. Sound is still coming out very muted on full volume, and the speakers hardly have anything coming out. What can I do to make all the sound come out of the speakers, in otherwords, bypass the speaker on the projector?

Besides replacing the speaker, you can connect the unit to an external set of speakers such as surround sound, or desktop speakers, depending on what your setup allows.
There will be a panel that holds the lamp module in, usually on the base of the unit. Once removed the lamp is usually held in with two screws mounted on the body of the lam. Once replaced, ensure the lamp is correctly fitted and the panel then switch on and reset the lamp life in the settings menu.
Its not usually the projector, but the video source (computer, DVD player, VCR etc...) that sets the closed captioning options - "the projector just projects what its given".
Here's the user manual - no mention of closed captioning
Hey. Sounds like you are using some kind of dual-view or extended desktop via the computer for video. This may sometimes be a problem. If you can see the desktop but no video using the projector it is not a projector problem. It is probably your grapic card och software problem.
Try different setups in the graphic cards settings, like the projector as primary monitor etc. That usually solves the problem.
The reset function is in the options menu. Once you scroll through the menu locate the filter timer, forward to the timer locate reset, you then need to hold down the reset button on the bottom RH of the remote control.
hi there,
I have just done the exact same thing today. Press menu button on projector. Scroll (navigate) to the mirror option. This give you the options to mirror image left to right or up and down.
This should fix any of your problems.
Cheers
Luke
My projector is not Hitachi but I had a similar problem. My manual suggested checking under "signal" to make sure that "auto" was "on". The thing is, there were two places where "signal" came up on the menu. I had to go under "set-up" to "signal" and then I was able to correct it by setting "auto" to "on". I hope this helps.
