Assuming all other channels are working OK, with sound being saved along with pics, it may be easiest to rescan your channels from the setup menu. Certainly this is what I would do as a first step, and has worked for me on various other PVR devices when I've had odd problems like this on.

Note that this does not delete your hard disk recordings, but it will probably lose your timer settings, so make a paper note of any recordings you have scheduled so that you can recreate once the channels have been re-scanned.

Hope this helps!

Can l order a video of myself singing on New Faces in 1977

Hello, Oriel -

According to the Wikipedia page on the New Faces British TV program:

[Quote]
Many of the episodes from the ATV era of New Faces were wiped from the archives with 38 surviving including episode 14 of series 1, episodes 1, 11 & 14 of series 2, episodes 1, 36, 40 & 45 of series 3, episodes 7, 11, 15, 19, 22-24 & 28-29 of series 4, episodes 1, 5, 8, 11, 14-16, 21, 24 & 30 of series 5 and episodes 20-30 of series 6
[End quote]

The ATV New Faces productions ran from 29 Sep 1972 through 2 Apr 1978.

ATV is no longer in existence. ATV produced the programs for ITV. You can contact ITV to determine if the New Faces episode in which you preformed in 1977 still exists. This link explains how to contact ITV Viewer Services:

Itv player - how to fast forward programme

Can't be done, ITV won't allow it on their server. Particularly infuriating if it's just frozen and you need to sit through the ads again with no guarantee it will work this time!

Best solution is to record programmes then they can't stop you. Costly though.

Toshiba RDXV59DTKB

You might have accidently set it to one of the special sound settings such as dolby or DTS. Bring up the main menu and look for the sound menu.

How works time shift

Time shift is a very handy thing... it works by buffering the channel you are watching, that is: it continuously records the channel as you are watching it. The time it records for varies from make to make... Humax machines record a 2 hour "buffer".

Example: If you leave your TV on say ITV and go out, you get delayed when you are out and miss your favorite show, when you come back you can effectively rewind live TV and watch your show. However this only works for the channel that the TV is left on.. if your TV is on itv and you miss a show thats on the BBC then you are out of luck. as you can only rewind what the tv has recorded (the channel you were watching last)

I hope this is the info you were after... if you want / need more info leave a comment and i'll try to help you.

Weird clicking noise, can't record

Hi,
It sounds like the internal hard drive has failed especially if this happens when you try and record a program, this will be the clicking sound that you can hear.
If the unit is fine until you try and record the i am in no doubt that it is the hard drive and it needs to be replaced.
Most new recorders have three and half inch IDE/ATA hard drives in them but it is a good idea to check first before you commit to purchasing a new one.

Regards.
