Hum sound when plug in. if i touch the input jack the hum sound disapear.

Some hopefully easy fixes : Input jack could be the problem, or connection from the amp to the speaker. Does the speaker hum a bit with the volume up almost all of the way without anything plugged into the unit? If not, check the connection from speaker to amp.

If it does hum slightly when u crank the volume, check your input jack -- it might be jacked up (pardon the pun) and you can fix that easily by soldering in a new one.

Are you sure that there is an input going into the amp? To check amp operation you can use a small screw driver, lower the volume and touch the blade while you insert it into the middle of the rca input jack - listen for a hum when you make contact. If you get the hum the amp is functional. If nada that channel is ng.

check that the input source it set to aux on the bose. to check it is on turn the volume up a bit and touch the contact end where you plug into the source. it should gently hum when you touch the connectors then you know that the input is live on the bose. i take it you have it switched on lol

A general case might be to take the stereo headphone output of the laptop and feed it a set of left and right line level (not microphone level) inputs to the soundboard. Radio Shack sells a cable that has a typical mini stereo headphone plug on one end and a pair of RCA Phono plugs on the other end. If the soundboard does not have phono jack inputs you will need some type of adapter plug on the ends of the cable phono plugs to match the soundboard's connector.

You then experiment with the laptop's volume control setting (start low) and the soundboard's input level control to get undistorted sound with minimum noise and hum. you need to perform this ...one end of the jack is on the input of your unit and the opposite end try to touch if there is hum ..set a maximum volume..to hear it better...if there is sound your unit is good..if without,your input is deffective..make sure that our jack is good.

switch on your speaker set in full volume unplug it from computer touch the plug , as you touch you can hear a sound ( loud hum sound) if the speaker is working. If okay then check the right jack, plug it into green color jack. you can try if your computer is okay use a headphone plug it into the jack in PC , if the computer is okay you may hear the sound.

First of all make sure the audio out jacks on your freeview are securely plugged in and routed to the proper input jacks on your surround sound unit and the correct input source is selected on the sourround sound unit. If all is well with this you can test if the surrond sound unit is functioning properly buy turning the volume up half way on the unit. Unplug the right and left cables from your freview and leave the other ends plugged into your surround sound(with the volume up half way). Now touch the tip of the right side cable with your finger tip. the right speakers should hum. And then touch the tip of the left plug and the left speakers should hum. If you get no hum you either have the wrong input source selected on the surround device or the is a problem with it. If the surround sound device is functioning with another device properly, disconnect the cable from that device( ex.dvd,cable,vcr, ect,...) and connect those cables to the output on your freeview. If you still do not get sound, make sure the volume is not muted somehow on your freeview. As you have now connected a verified audio input to your surround sound directly to your freeview and made sure the freeview was not in anyway muted there is a problem with the audio out on your freeview. The buzzing is possibly the electrical mains hum at 50hz, all amps have a hum/buzzing... if you have to tap the jack lead between the guitar and amp it could simply be a connection problem, the cable may be old and internally damages, maybe loose wiring on the other side of one of the input jacks

Hi, you may want to try plugging the input line of the Dell speaker to the other jacks. Normally green is for speaker, pink - microphone and blue is for line-in and all are normally at the back of the computer. Sometimes, the back are deactivated if there are jacks in the front., so you may to try plugging it in the front if they are present. Assuming the speakers light/power up, if you want to check if they are working is by touching with your finder the input plug which should produce a humming sound.
