Hi,
This problem indicates that it is stuck from inside . You just keep on pressing menu option and keep on pressing the center button for 2 minutes it will solve your problem .
It actually worked for me that's why I am sharing this .

Sansa clip mp3

You do not need special software - it acts like an external drive. Just drag the files to the proper folders on the Sansa or use Windows Media Player to create playlists and sync your player to WMP. Then everytime you update your playlists, your player will be updated when you connect again.

The larger Sansa's like my 8 GIG has software for converting video to play on it, but the screen is too small - you will go cross-eyed trying to watch a movie.

And the best place to get these things is on Woot.com. I paid $10 for my 1 GIG clip! Yee - Haww!

Not working 1gb sansa clip

What does that mean - "music db" ? I put all of my music on my 1 Gig and it works great. I put all Harry Potters audio books on my 8 GIG and still have 1.5 gig left for music.

My MP3 player is telling me I used 7 GB when theres nothing on it

Update your firmware.
Download firmware http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1449
Install the newly downloaded firmware.
It should work like new and give you back your missing gigs.
You should prolly reformat the player too.

Not recognizing the memory card

if the micro sd is HC the sansa will not read it because it does not have the right firmware and connection to read an 8 GIG if you want that get a sansa view

Sansa sandisk mp3 player 1 gig

Theoretically, you should be able to use this one forever, if you keep charging it. The battery isn't replaceable, so hopefully it will last you a good 3 years or more. The #1 threat to Mp3 players isn't the battery, but keeping up with software/computer environment changes. Most mp3 players introduced to date only last 1-2 years - much shorter than everyone had originally thought.

Sansa 280 with 8 gigs

The message says it needs 6MB of space for the MUSIC DB ( the database, the artist names, etc).

You need to delete some of the recordings off of your device to free up some space.

You can manually delete the files while connected to your computer from My Computer>Device Name (e280)>MUSIC Folder.

Best of Luck.
