Lighter vertical bands on sides of screen

Try leaving unplugged one or two hours , see if it improves.

If not the unit must be taken apart, first thing to check is the ribbon cable to LCD screen.

Checkl also all settings and cable connections.

The cost to repair this "convergence" issue is about the same as a new TV. Stay away from Toshiba TV's they have allot of problems. I have found for the cost that Vizio (sold at Wally Mart, Costco, Sam's club and others) has excellent prices and few problems.

you may haave a bad disc capacitor. they are little round , mostly tan , soldered onto the board. when the go bad you usually get a line down the screen. youw ill have to replaace them one at a time till the line is gone. you may also have a bad screen.

needs a DM Board, prity easy to change yourself, if you order one, make sure you give them the version number off the Right side of the TV, will be somthing like SP01, To change - when you take the back off the tv, it will be on the left hand side, have to unplug 3 or 4 connectors, then take the plastic covering off, and it will slide out.

it is going to need to be tested to find the component that is causing the problem

My Konka LCD model KDL32AT23U Displayed a picture, then vanished, showing different colored vertical lines in horizontal blue bands.Then I could not turn it off with the remote or standby button on the side.Only with the main switch.What's wrong??

i experienced a tainted vertical black lines on the boths sides of my lcd screen. There was no scratch or whatsoever that could be the reason why thsi balck colored vertical lines to spread. Hope you can help me solve this problem. Thank you..
