Copier problems When copying from the printer, printer just prints out a black paper-as if I wanted to copy a black paper!!! It just started messing up. I've never had any problems with it.

Not at all certain what your question refers to. The Hp Image Runner 400 is a black & white copier. What do you want to do that you are unable to do? Have you previously been able to do what you wanted with this copier, but can no longer do the same? What happens when you try to copy a document? Does the copy come out blank, or all black? Are you getting a large black area on a 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of copy paper when you attempt to copy something that is smaller in size, and therefore wasting lots of toner? Please explain your problem in detail, or no one will be able to help you. Thanks

The original paper size is different to copy paper size.

Start up your multi-function printer and computer. Wait until it has powered on completely before beginning.

Open the printer's lid and place your item on the copying surface with the side you want copied face-down on the glass. Double-check the alignment.

Shut the printer's lid. For large items, such as books, you may want to remove the printer lid rather than forcing it closed.

Choose the kind of copy you want: black-and-white or color. You also may have to select the kind of paper that you are copying.

Size the copy to the page if desired. Some multi-function printers allow you to expand or shrink the original to fit different sizes of paper.

.Enter the number of copies you want. You may do this on the multi-function printer or in the print setup of your computer. Make sure the paper tray has enough paper to finish your copying job.

Press the "Start" button. Other names for this might be the "Copy" or "Print" button.
Remove the pages as they are delivered from the printer's feeding mechanism.

Do not tug on the copies as they come out. Let them fall into your hands.

check that someone hasnt moved the paper size dial blue 1 in paper trays then do get device status in driver for printing my moneys on the dial been moved

Yor probles is caused for a pour conection from the fiery with the printer. Check disconecting and conecting again both conectors printer and scanner

the ink inside of the cartridges is gelled.

If the blank ink still cames in the printer means that their still ink inside the cartridge, kindly check if there are papers left inside the printer when it was removed if there is you have to take it off.

Turn off the printer, delete the remaining files that is to printed on the printer dialog box by just double clicking the icon found at the bottom of the task bar.

Turn on the power of the printer, have a printer test to test if the pritned copy is good. Clean the head, or the nozzle of the printer at the maintenance tab.

If the problem still arises means the head align was damage or mess align that happend when the paper was remove forcely.

please press menu then start black copy (blue button) then fortimes arrow-up (tel.index). machine will switch to maintenance mode and all buttons will flash. press 8 then zero then severaltimes start black copy until error A1
will appear on the lcd. repeat pressing menu nine times and write down the error codes. Plz post them here again.
To leave the mode press stop then 9 then 9.
