The most common reason that dishes don't get clean is that a build up of gunk is covering the screen that protects the recirculation pump. This prevents the machine from having enough water pressure to clean the dishes, and leaves a soapy film on everything.

The second most common reason is that the machine isn't filling up with enough water. To test this turn the machine on for a normal load and when it begins to wash, open the door and see if there is enough water in the dishwasher.

To know how much water should be in the dishwasher you will have to consult the manual that came with it, as well as to find out how to access the recirculation pump.

My dishwasher is now leaving my dishes cloudy. What causes this?

Make sure that the rinse-aid(jet dry) container is full. If it is full have you noticed if it's level has not dropped. It is possible that the rinse-aid dispenser is plugged. This will cause the dishes to be cloudy. You can also try running the dishwaher empty and add a cup of vinegar to the bottom before your start. There is also this stuff called "dishwasher magic" that you can try running in the dishwasher to clean it. Try using a soap with the rinse-aid in it or install a basket with a rinse-aid tablet and see if that helps clear up those cloudy dishes.

Cloudy and dirty dishes after washing

I found this for you on YouTube. I don't think that you want to go to the extreme lengths that this guy did, but he does show how to disassemble the inside portion of your washer so you can get to the parts that need cleaning. This should get you back up and running, with sparkling dishes, and a big smile on your face! There are also oyher videos there, some selling products that may help.

Try a different detergent such as the electrosol tablets. Also might add vinegar to an empty cycle to clean dishwasher, or with dishes.
